Hadja Barry (she/her) was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn, and raised within its Guinean community where her family has deep roots. As a first-generation, English major at Spelman College, her hope is to expand her writing skills to share stories of underrepresented minorities. Hadja is excited to be volunteering with ARTE, where she anticipates piquing her understanding of artivism by completing various research projects.
